She is the daughter of Harvey Welker a Native American father and Julie Welker an African-American mother. Her mother works as an agent in real estate while her father is a graduate in engineering. Her graduation from Germantown Friends School, located in Philadelphia's Germantown neighborhood, in the year 1994. She then went on to Harvard College where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in 1998. Welker is wed with John Hughes of Merck Philadelphia in Philadelphia is the mother of two. They began an affair during 2014, when they were together. John her husband is a year younger than her. They decided to take their relationship to the next level because it was going so well. They got married on March 4, 2017. Their wedding ceremony took place within Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The wedding was huge held at The Hyatt hotel.
