Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who managed to move over from country music to mainstream culture, and has become an icon of the pop world. The singer also swept every continent during the course of her journey. Swift removed the influences of country as if they were an additional layer of skin. She revealed that she was one of the best singers/songwriters of the generation she was born into. Swift could make the occasion personal, or use the moment to benefit. Swift's early tracks, such as the neotribute in tribute to Tim McGraw were a testament to her talent. But, her follow-up album Fearless in 2008 showcased a songwriter finding her voice and a wider public. Fearless was successful not only in America, but also with six platinum-certified singles. In fact, the Top Ten songs Love Story and the hit song You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. However, it did well all over the world. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier popularity and launched Swift into the spotlight. In the following three years, her popularity grew through the years -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014) as well as 1989 (2014-2015) during which time Swift entered the realm of pop where her talents were already well-established. Although she slowed down her strategy with 2020's stripped down sister album folklore, and Evermore she remained atop the charts, a place that she maintained through re-recordings from her back catalog along with Midnights which was her top-charting synthesizer 2022 set.
